Adventures at the Museum

The kids and I went to the Museum of Natural Sciences museum today with friends.  We've been a million times.  It's a free museum, kids enjoy it, 20 minutes from the house.  What's not to love.  But today was a little different.  There's a special exhibit called Animal Grossology. You walk in and right away there is a life size burping and farting cow.  Never mind that you learn about the 4 stomachs of the cow....the cow burps and farts.  Move on to the exhibit where you match the animal with the poop it makes.  Tons of poop, blood sucking and slimy exhibits.  Fun for everyone.  But the most.disturbing.exhibit.ever... the flies.  Yes, your average, run of the mill fly.  I'm not sure if I can EVER eat outside in the summer again after all I learned about flies.  I'm seriously disturbed.  But glad I'm still alive from all the fly urine I apparently ingested after Liam's outdoor birthday party last summer.  Can you say indoor party this year?!

For all my Raleigh friends (that weren't with us today), this exhibit was great for kids.  Even better if those kids are boys and/or LOVE potty humor.
